At University of Michigan’s Sweetland Center for Writing, I worked with the Director and the Associate Director on the administration of the university’s upper-level writing requirement, the directed self-placement writing system, the Minor in Writing, and course offerings for multilingual students.

My administrative work at Sweetland also involved ongoing programmatic assessment, which I carried out using qualitative tools, including interviews, focus groups, and surveys (in this work, the team used Dedoose for qualitative coding and Qualtrix for surveys).

I was part of the team that piloted, instituted, and assessed a directed-self placement system for transfer students. I also worked on a project, funded by the National Science Foundation, aimed at improving writing-to-learn pedagogies in STEM disciplines.
